Refund Policy

Thareja Technologies Inc. ("Thareja," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to transparency in our billing practices. This Refund Policy applies to all purchases, subscriptions, and transactions made through Thareja Work (app.thareja.ai), AI Assistant (chat.thareja.ai), Magic Agent (magicagent.thareja.ai), and Magic Reel (magicreel.thareja.ai).

By making a purchase or subscribing to any Thareja service, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

1. General Policy

1.1 All payments made to Thareja Technologies Inc. are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise in this policy.

1.2 Billing errors, duplicate charges, and other payment discrepancies must be reported within seven (7) days of the transaction date to be eligible for correction or refund.

1.3 Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. You will retain access to the service through the remainder of your paid period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods on any product.

2. Thareja Work (app.thareja.ai)

2.1 The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Background check fees, once initiated.

  • AI interview session credits, once consumed.

  • Time already tracked and logged within the platform.

  • Account setup fees, onboarding fees, and implementation charges.

  • Global payment processing fees (3.9% + $1 per transaction).

2.2 Subscription plans (Attendance, Time+Productivity, Global Workforce, and Enterprise) may be canceled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No prorated refunds will be issued for unused portions of a billing period.

2.3 Per-seat charges are based on the number of active seats during the billing period. Reducing seats mid-cycle does not entitle you to a refund for the current period; the reduced rate applies to the next billing cycle.

3. AI Assistant (chat.thareja.ai)

3.1 The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Token consumption once tokens have been used.

  • Token top-up purchases, once credited to your account.

3.2 Monthly subscriptions ($20/month) may be canceled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly billing cycle. No prorated refunds will be issued.

3.3 Yearly subscriptions ($125/year) may be canceled within the first fourteen (14) days of purchase for a full refund, provided that token usage during that period does not exceed 500,000 tokens. After the 14-day window, yearly subscriptions are non-refundable, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the annual billing period.

3.4 Additional team member seats ($9/team member/month) follow the same cancellation terms as the underlying subscription. Removing team members mid-cycle does not entitle you to a prorated refund for the current period.

4. Magic Agent (magicagent.thareja.ai)

4.1 The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Message consumption once messages have been delivered or processed.

4.2 The Free plan ($0/month, 50 messages/month) involves no billing and is not subject to refund.

4.3 Paid plans (Starter, Growth, and Pro) may be canceled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No prorated refunds will be issued for unused messages or partial billing periods.

4.4 Unused messages do not roll over between billing cycles unless expressly stated in your plan terms.

5. Magic Reel (magicreel.thareja.ai)

5.1 The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Video credits once a video has been rendered or processing has begun.

  • Single (one-time) video purchases once the video has been rendered.

5.2 Free trial videos (up to 2) involve no billing and are not subject to refund.

5.3 Paid plans (Starter, Growth, and Pro) may be canceled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No prorated refunds will be issued for unused video credits or partial billing periods.

5.4 Unused video credits do not roll over between billing cycles unless expressly stated in your plan terms.

6. Eligibility for Refunds

Notwithstanding the general non-refundable nature of our services, you may be eligible for a refund in the following circumstances:

6.1 Technical Outages. If a Thareja service experiences a continuous, platform-wide outage lasting forty-eight (48) hours or more that prevents you from accessing core functionality, you may request a prorated credit or refund for the affected period.

6.2 Duplicate Charges. If you are charged more than once for the same transaction or subscription period due to a billing system error, the duplicate charge will be refunded in full.

6.3 Billing Errors. If you are charged an incorrect amount due to a system error (not a plan upgrade or usage overage), you may request a correction within seven (7) days of the charge. Approved corrections will be issued as a refund of the difference.

6.4 Refund eligibility is determined at Thareja's sole discretion based on the specific circumstances of each request.

7. How to Request a Refund

7.1 Refund requests must be submitted in writing to billing@thareja.ai within seven (7) days of the transaction date in question.

7.2 Your request must include:

  • Your full name and the email address associated with your account.

  • The product and plan in question.

  • The transaction date and amount.

  • A description of the issue or reason for the refund request.

7.3 Approved refunds will be processed within five (5) to ten (10) business days and returned to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.

8. Accounts Terminated for Policy Violations

8.1 Users whose accounts are suspended or terminated for violations of our Terms of Use, Acceptable Use Policy, or any other Thareja policy are not entitled to any refund of prepaid fees, unused credits, or remaining subscription time.

8.2 Any outstanding balance owed at the time of termination remains due and payable.

9. Discretion and Modifications

9.1 Thareja reserves the right to issue refunds, credits, or adjustments at its sole discretion on a case-by-case basis, even outside the terms described in this policy.

9.2 The issuance of a discretionary refund or credit does not establish a precedent or entitle any user to similar treatment in the future.

9.3 Thareja reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through a notice on our platforms. Changes do not apply retroactively to transactions completed before the effective date of the updated policy.
